We recently sat down with Carmen Leal, an Associate Director in our London office. Carmen has been on FRA's Forensic Accounting team for just over 6 years. Within FRA, Carmen mainly works with multinational organisations in the context of post-investigation compliance monitorships, such as supporting the independent monitors or conducting compliance reviews.
We chatted with Carmen to learn more about her business travels and what makes working for FRA so enjoyable.
What is the most enjoyable part of working for FRA and why?
The thing I find most enjoyable is being a part of such a supportive, diverse and successful environment. We've got such a variety of backgrounds, projects and expertise at FRA - it is very impressive and inspiring, and has helped me a lot developing professionally since joining the firm.
What is the best project you have been part of?
One of my best projects at FRA was a client project relating to an enforcement action by the PCAOB against a member of a global accounting firm. Not only did this project provide extensive learning and development opportunities, but also allowed me to travel extensively to Brazil and build strong professional relationships with a fantastic team.
What is one bit of advice you would give your younger self?
The main bit of advice would be to believe in myself more deeply.
