We are thrilled that FRA has been nominated for the ninth consecutive year for Investigations Consultancy of the Year at the Global Investigations Review (GIR) Awards 2024. GIR acknowledged FRA’s role in several high profile matters in the past 12 months, noting:
“The London-based consultancy’s forensic accounting team supported Entain in a sprawling probe by UK tax authorities and calculated penalties for Gunvor in a foreign bribery resolution with the US Department of Justice. FRA Founding Partner Frances McLeod also snagged a coveted three-year compliance monitorship of crypto company Binance.”
Both the Binance and Entain matters have also been shortlisted separately for the GIR Awards’ Most Important Development of the Year category. On the wider Binance resolution, GIR noted that it “could set the tone for crypto enforcement worldwide". GIR also highlighted Entain’s £615 million resolution with the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) – i.e. £585 million disgorgement plus charitable contributions and CPS/HMRC costs – was the agency’s first deferred prosecution agreement and the country’s second-largest corporate criminal settlement ever.
The global FRA team is proud to consistently maintain our clients’ trust on such high stakes regulatory matters year on year. We have previously won GIR’s Investigations Consultancy of the Year in 2016, 2017, 2020 and 2023.
