FRA New York Office Welcomes Andrew Hayes to the Partner Group

September 2, 2024

29th August 2024, New York: Forensic Risk Alliance (FRA), a leading forensic accounting, data analytics, and eDiscovery consultancy specializing in international and complex investigations, compliance, and disputes, is excited to announce the appointment of Andrew Hayes as a Partner in the firm’s New York office.

With over 30 years of experience, Andrew Hayes brings a robust background in accounting and financial analysis, with experience that spans consulting and hedge funds. He has extensive experience providing forensic dispute and investigative services, analyzing financial statements and complex accounting issues, financial modeling and forecasting, and investment due diligence. His experience extends across a range of industries, including technology, telecommunications, engineering & construction, transportation, publishing, agriculture, utilities, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, retail, REITs, and financial services.

Prior to joining FRA, Andrew was with Perbak Capital Partners, where he specialized in identifying, analyzing, and monitoring investment opportunities across various sectors. In this role, Andrew also analyzed and advised the investment research team on accounting and financial reporting issues, assessing their implications for portfolio companies' future earnings and cash flow.

Before his tenure at Perbak, Andrew served as the Head of Forensic Research at Citadel. In this role, he managed a team of forensic research analysts who provided comprehensive accounting and financial reporting analysis, focusing on U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC, and tax issues. Notably, Andrew developed a proprietary screening system that detected and assessed accounting-related risks across Citadel’s equities and credit portfolios, significantly enhancing the firm’s risk management capabilities.

Andrew's extensive experience also includes his role as a Director in Huron Consulting Group’s Financial and Economic Consulting practice. At Huron, he conducted various litigation consulting engagements, including the preparation of product line income statements in connection with the largest tax dispute in history, construction of a solvency analysis model, and investigation of revenue recognition practices.

Commenting on his appointment, Andrew Hayes, Partner at FRA, said: "I am excited to join FRA and collaborate with such a talented team of professionals. The firm's commitment to delivering high-quality forensic accounting and compliance solutions aligns perfectly with my experience and passion for financial analysis and risk management. I look forward to contributing to FRA’s continued success and helping our clients navigate complex challenges."

Frances McLeod, co-founding Partner at Forensic Risk Alliance, commented: "We are thrilled to welcome Andrew to the FRA Partner group and to be expanding our senior team in the New York office.
