Biography
Olivia Wong is a Manager in FRA’s London office. She has extensive forensic experience in Hong Kong and China including investigating accounting and fraudulent irregularities and providing litigation support over the past ten years serving listed companies, multinational corporations, academic organization and governments.
Relevant assignments include:
- Led investigation of possible misappropriation of fund and accounting irregularities in a gaming company in Laos. Assisted the forensic expert acting for the Government of Laos (“GOL”) to prepare an expert report and assisted the forensic expert and the legal team during the arbitration hearing in Europe and Singapore. The tribunals awarded the assessed damages in favour of GOL in the arbitrations.
- Participated in preparing an expert report on accounting matters for the Government of Hong Kong in relation to a contractual dispute with a listed utility company. The Government won the arbitration.
- Led investigation on a Hong Kong listed metal production company regarding potential overstatement of cash and falsification of bank records, unauthorized transactions and abnormalities with respect to non-arm’s length transactions.
- Participated in investigating a Hong Kong listed manufacturer of aluminium products regarding alleged use of personal bank accounts for business purposes and off-book transactions.
Before joining FRA, Olivia worked in the Investigation and Forensic Accounting team of BDO in Hong Kong and the Assurance Department of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Olivia is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England And Wales and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner.
